|Charity tournament to be held Saturday on Philpott Lake|

PHILPOTT LAKE -- The Franklin County Sheriff's Department is hosting the 2012 Special Olympics Charity Bass Fishing tournament Saturday at Twin Ridge Marina on Smith Mountain Lake.
All proceeds benefit Special Olympics.
The tournament begins at 7 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m.
Registration is from 5 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. at the boat ramp.
Entry fee is $60.
A Big Fish Pot of $10 is optional.
A payout of $800 for first place, $400 for second and $240 for third and $160 for the largemouth and smallmouth lunkers is based on a 40-boat field.
Tournament limit is five fish with a minimum length of 12 inches.
Junior Sisk and the Ramblers Choice are scheduled to perform at 2 p.m.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and raffle tickets will be sold.
The raffle drawing and weigh-in begins at 3 p.m.
The event concludes at 5 p.m.
