An alzheimer/dementia caregiver support group meeting will host guest speaker Karen Jones from Our Lady of the Valley on how to select a nursing home at 3 p.m. at Trinity Ecumenical Parish.

The Franklin County/ SML Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association will hold the 7th annual wine tasting fundraiser at the Blackwater Cafe at 7 p.m. This event raises money for scholarships. Tickets are $30 each.

A writing course will be held with Judy Ayyildiz from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SML 4 -H Center. Fee of $25 covers all instruction and lunch.
