A Wirtz man was indicted by a grand jury on three felony drug charges related to the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Michael Lee Perdue, 25, is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of ingredients with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, and distribution of methamphetamine.
Narcotics investigators with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at Perdue's residence on Kingston Road in April.
Investigators seized ingredients and equipment consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine, along with an off-white powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine, according to Sgt. Tim Taylor. The substance was sent to the lab for analysis.
Perdue is being held in the Western Virginia Regional Jail without bond.
Perdue's criminal record includes convictions for burglary (felony) and petit larceny in April 2011.
