SALEM -- Christiansburg Post 52, which entered the District 9 American Legion Seniors West Division baseball tournament with an 0-14 record, stayed alive in the double-elimination postseason event Sunday afternoon by edging Rocky Mount Post 6, 13-12, in an elimination game at Kiwanis Field.

Christiansburg, the No. 5 seed was scheduled to play the loser of Sunday's match-up between No. 1 seed Roanoke Post 3 and No. 2 seed Vinton Post 80 Sunday evening in an elimination game.

Post 6 (7-10), seeded No. 3, saw its season end with the loss, its third one-run setback this year.

Post 6 rebounded from its 13-0 opening-round loss to Post 80 on Friday at W.W. Naff Jr. Field by eliminating No. 4 seed Botetourt Post 240, 9-3, at Naff Field on Saturday.
