Five states are represented in Stand-Up Paddleboard Race

MONETA — Competitors for five states took to the waters of Smith Mountain Lake Saturday for the eighth annual Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Race, staged the Franklin County Department of Parks and Recreation.

Competitors hailed from Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, New York and Massachusetts.

Below is a list of the place winners and their times.

Row Shell — 6 mile: 1. Jim Pickens, tandem, 44:50.

Surfski — 6 mile: 1. Scott Thomas, 50:15; 2. Lisa Ramm, 50:30; 3. Lee Jones, 53:48; 4. Pete Moyer, 53:56; 5. Ray Moore, 56:38; 6. William Woodruff, 58:19.

Kayak Female: 1. Lisa Mischley, 1:01:49; 2. Lisa Landes, 1:15:50.

SUP 4 Mile Male: 1. Curt Hawn, 46:09; 2. Jeffrey Matthews (and his dog, Joy) 46:35; 3. Dan Tyler, 46:57; 4. Rob Suydam, 47:16; 5. Brian Cleary, 48:21; 6. Brian Hartman, 52:24; 7. Taylor Johnson, 52:45; 8. Peter O’Donnell, 53:24; 9. Jase Porter, 53:45; 10. Dave Padavana, 54:02; 11. Colin Wilkinson, 1:06:36.

SUP 4 Mile Female: 1. Sokeng Leng, 57:11; 2. Allison Angell, 1:00:12.

SUP 2 Mile Male: 1. Alexander Soulas, 29:47; 2. Nicholas Meyer, 34:07; 3. Travis Schuyler, 36:54; 4. Andy Dalton, 46:08; 5. Anthony Berrios, 1:02:26; 6. James Snyder, 1:14:51.

SUP 2 Mile Female: 1. Stephanie Krasnov, 34:27: 2. Liz Ackley, 38:23; 3. Natasha Nash, 40:25; 4. Carolina Grandis, 43:09; 5. Kristen Jarabeck, 48:39; 6. Kimberly Najduch, 48:40; 7. Lisa Gallagher, 1:06:19; 8. Christine Sinclair, 1:19:08.

SUP 2 Mile Junior: 1. Alexis Dalton, 1:11:57.
