Dream West
Faux snow is sprayed on St. John's Church in Richmond in December 1985 for the production of "Dream West," a seven-hour CBS miniseries. The "snow" that was sprayed on trees and grounds in front of the church was a combination of soap and water mixed with air.

"Homeland" starring Claire Danes, filmed at sites including the Jefferson Hotel and the state Capitol.
Lincoln
The 2012 Steven Spielberg film "Lincoln" made extensive use of Richmond locations. Appomattox was re-created on the grounds of Maymont.
“My wife and I and my children all loved the experience of being in Richmond,” he said in an interview. “The experience of making ‘Lincoln’ there made us all want to come back and make another movie there.”
He previously filmed “Minority Report” near the Chesapeake Bay and parts of “War of the Worlds” near Lexington.
Kennedy

A segment for the Fox show "America's Most Wanted" is filmed in November 1989 at Babe's of Carytown. The broadcast was about Richmond fugitive Leo Koury.
A Woman Named Jackie
An empty storefront in downtown Richmond was changed to a New York City pet store in July 1991, complete with puppies in the window, for the filming of "A Woman Named Jackie." The NBC miniseries portrayed the life of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. Filming also took place at the Jefferson Hotel. Most of the show will be shot in Richmond. The Walking Dead: World Beyond
Plane parts and crashed cars were set up in downtown Hopewell in August 2019 for filming of the AMC series "The Walking Dead: World Beyond," for which Virginia-based Tom Trigo served as location manager. Maymont Park and Hadad’s Lake in Henrico County also were used. Read more here.
