Kathy Hochul soon will take office as New York's first female governor. But she's far from the only woman advancing to elected positions that were rarely, or never before, held by women.
Hochul will be in Western New York on Wednesday for a political fundraiser to bring in cash for what she said will be her campaign next year for a full, four-year term as governor.
