Former Rocky Mount assistant manager still being paid 5 months after leaving job

There is a Council meeting this Monday! Please call, show up, voice your opinion. With politics like this how are we going to get anyone to invest in this community? Enough with the small town back room , no oversight, shady business dealings using taxpayer money! Obviously there’s a personal reason this man is Still getting paid- wonder what THAT could be???

Otis interesting that no one else has anything to say on this matter. I wonder what portion of taxpayer money is being used to pay this person?

Also, this being a small town, and everybody knows a lot about everybody; you stated in this article that the council members do not get involved in personnel matters? I think in places like this everyone is involved in these games. You know someone your friends with people, you know something that can hurt someone, etc.

So, why is it, that Mr . Snead and other council members invited former and current employees of the police department to their businesses and homes to discuss the issues surrounding the chief of police?

Why keep getting rid of people who just want to work in an honest department. This is something all citizens should be questioning? No?

Can’t we work on fixing the problem?

Also, you state you did not think parking a food truck across from a local restaurant that sells the same food would hurt the business???

It doesn’t take much to figure that would be the case, I’m sorry but it’s true. Also for same truck to be able to operate without getting proper permit is highly suspect because you cannot get any business going without the town collecting fees or taxes from you. You make darn sure of that. So obviously in my opinion, someone knew someone who let it slide. Or someone did that on purpose to hurt that specific business.

If you are from a small town, you know they breed corruption in the highest offices like government, police and prisons, it can go one for decades. Anyone hear of the murder of the new sherif hired in Oregon that was about to expose the corruption in the police and prison system??

I’m sorry but when I read about things like this happening that are so unusual and you just talk about it like it’s fine, normal stuff, it makes me very uncomfortable.
