Deborah Lee (Singley) Brown of Poquoson, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home with her family on November 17, 2025. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents LTC George Townsend Singley Jr. (US Army Retired) and Gene Lair Starr Singley. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Debbie filled many roles with grace and love. She leaves behind a void that will be tenderly felt forever.

Myron "Keith" Burton, 68, of West Point, Va., formerly Sandston, Va.,died Friday, November 14th 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with cancer. Keith was a 1976 graduate of Varina High School. He became a pipefitter and was a member of Union Local 10 Plumbers and SteamFitters where he retired in 2019. Keith was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, fishing, and relic hunting with both his sons and his many friends at Curls Neck Hunt Club.

Jessica left us far too early after valiantly battling health issues. She will be greatly missed for her caring of others, love for family and animals, sense of humor, and dedication to teaching. Jessica will be remembered for many contributions to her family, friends and community.

Cary Ambler Loving passed away November 10, 2025, at the age of 77. Being the daughter of Lt. Gen. George G. Loving Jr., USAF, and Mary Ambler Thomasson Loving, meant that military career travel shaped her childhood experiences. She lived in Japan, Taiwan, Washington D.C. and the southern United States before graduating from Lanier High School in Montgomery, AL. Art was important to her from a young age. In her young adult days she took up photography and painting while working professionally. She studied printmaking at the Corcoran School in Washington D.C.. In all the places she lived and worked, the pursuit of artistic expression was always in the background of her life, but at the forefront of her dreams. Finally, in the 1990s she moved to Oakland to study at California College of Arts and Crafts and earn a Masters of Fine Arts, and she began to teach and pursue art full time.

She wanted her loved ones to know that she placed full confidence and trust in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who promised: "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in Me shall never die." John 11: 25-26.

On September 15, 2025 Reverend John Wiley Tadlock of Roanoke, VA and formerly of Richmond, VA – known as "Tad" by friends, former students and colleagues, and, more affectionately, "Papa" by his children and grandchildren - slipped away quietly in the stillness of the evening in his 86th year. He was born to Woodrow and Virginia Tadlock in Harrisville, MS on February 7, 1940. He was raised on the family farm where he helped to care for a multitude of animals and raised enough vegetables to feed the county; however, he found solace in the quiet of a library where he could immerse himself in books and the world of words. Years later he would say that, although farming was not his preferred activity, he realized his theology of creation had been honed during those formative years working the earth.

Clyde Sylvester Taylor, Sr., 70, of Glen Allen, VA, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 14, 2025, surrounded by his closest family. Clyde was the proud owner of his lifelong business, C.S. Taylor Refuse Service, where he provided exceptional service to the community for 46 years. He also retired from Reynolds Metals Company after 30 years of dedicated service. Clyde is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa Hampton-Taylor; his children, LaToya Mason (Jermaine), Clyde S. Taylor II (Sheena), and Ciera Taylor; and Arica and Alexis Morris. He is also survived by his grandchildren, brothers, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. All services will be held at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA. The family will receive friends for viewing and visitation on Sunday, November 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 24, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238.
