Gov. Glenn Youngkin is accepting the General Assembly’s approach to $1.1 billion in tax relief in the revised state budget, mostly through one-time rebates, even though it does not include his proposals to use state income tax credits to offset the cost of some Virginians’ local car tax payments or eliminate the state tax on tips.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin is proposing $300 million in spending cuts. The money would go into the state’s revenue reserve fund to hedge against major disruptions in federal spending in Virginia.
