ALLMAN Peggy Kirk November 19, 2018 Peggy Kirk Allman, 85 of Rocky Mount, Va., passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Edna Law Kirk and Alton Kirk; her sister, Sandra Kirk Hobbs; and her "Mama Annie". She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Johnny Allman; sisters, Iris K. Betterton (Larry) and Phyllis K. Scott (Jeff); along with nieces and nephews, Mark Betterton (Kelly), Jamie Bishop (Matt), De Kissel (David), Vicki Brown (Rob), Brandon Scott (Lauren), Ted Hunt (Ann), Steve Hunt, Keith Hunt, Kevin Hunt, Kimberly Hunt Davis (Don); as well as numerous great-nieces, nephews, cousins including Sheila Keatts. She was the General Registrar for Franklin County from 1973 - 1999 at which time she retired. She was a member of Rocky Mount Christian Church. Peggy and Johnny loved to travel, enjoyed camping and spent several years at their second home in Florida. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at Flora Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Matthew Ricks officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rocky Mount Christian Church. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
