The American Dream is still alive for many — but who believes in it most may surprise you. A new survey found 58% of Americans say it’s still achievable, with Hispanic respondents and Gen Z showing the highest levels of optimism. The research, conducted by Talker Research and commissioned by National Debt Relief, also highlights a more complicated reality — seven in 10 Americans report carrying some form of debt, and many say it leaves them feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Even so, the vision hasn’t changed much: owning a home, being debt-free, and having financial stability still top the list of what the American Dream looks like today — even if the path to get there feels more challenging.
