The Armed Forces Bowl might be one of the quickest games of the entire college football postseason.
Both Air Force and Baylor, who face off Thursday night in Fort Worth, Texas, like to run the football and control the clock.
One more than the other.
There is no secret to what Air Force will do on offense.
The Falcons (9-3) will run the football. Over and over and over to the tune of nearly 90% of its offensive snaps. Baylor (6-6) has a more balanced attack at about a 56%/44% run-to-pass ratio.
Still, both teams are in the top 12 in the country in time of possession, with Air Force coming in at No. 1 (36 minutes, 22 seconds). Baylor is 12th (32:44).
Air Force leads the nation in rushing offense, averaging 330.9 yards per game on the ground. Consequently, the Falcons are last in the nation in passing offense with only 67.8 yards per game.
The Bears defense is giving 137.6 rushing yards per game.
Baylor is scoring and average of 33.6 points, while Air Force is giving up just 13.3 per, which is third in the country.
