We're halfway through the 2022 NFL season and so far it's been a wild ride. In this week's picks, we're looking for Philadelphia to remain undefeated and for the Buffalo Bills to rebound against the 7-1 Minnesota Vikings.
The story coming into this Sunday is the status of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
What’s the severity of his elbow injury?
Will he play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings?
So far, Bills head coach Sean McDermott has been short on details, which has led to speculation about the superstar quarterback, who is among the favorites to win the NFL MVP award.
Allen didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday, according to the Buffalo News, and was limited Friday. Allen is listed as questionable.
If Allen can’t play, Case Keenum will be Buffalo’s signal-caller Sunday.
Allen’s day-to-day status has affected the sportsbooks. After opening as a 7.5-point favorite at DraftKings on Monday morning, the line has come down to the Bills favored by only 3.5 points, as of Saturday morning.

Seahawks WR DK Metcalf anytime touchdown (+145)
At 6-foot-4, 235 pounds, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf is a physical mismatch for most any defender in the National Football League.
Especially in the red zone.
Of Metcalf’s four touchdown catches this season, three have come inside the opponents’ 20-yard line, including two on third down.
Metcalf has one touchdown catch in each of his last two games. On the season he has 42 caches for 510 yards, averaging 12.1 yards per catch.
The Seahawks are facing a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that has given up 14 passing touchdowns on the season, which is in the bottom half of the NFL.
And with this being the first-ever, regular-season NFL game being played in Germany, expect big things from the Seahawks big man.
Raiders QB Derek Carr over 1.5 touchdown passes (+100)
Las Vegas quarterback Derek Carr started the 2022 season with a bang, throwing for two touchdowns in each of his first three games.
The signal-caller cooled off in October, as the Raiders’ struggles mounted, throwing for just three touchdowns in four games, including two games where he didn’t toss a TD.
Last week , however, Carr threw two touchdowns in a bad loss to Jacksonville.
This week, Carr and Las Vegas look to rebound against the lowly Indianapolis Colts, whose defense has given up 10 touchdown passes this season.
In five of his last six games against the Colts, Carr has thrown for 11 touchdowns, including two three-TD games.
Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki over 2.5 receptions (+100)
Yes the Miami Dolphins have two of the most dominant receivers in the league – Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
But tight end Mike Gesicki has got game as well. He has 22 catches on the year for 238 yards and four touchdowns. He’s been targeted 32 times (about 3.6 per game).
This Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, whose defense is giving up over 208 passing yards per game, the Dolphins should be able to spread the ball out, giving Gesicki opportunities.
