FrontPageBets GM/Content Director Mike Szvetitz gives his picks for Week 1 of the NFL season.
The 2022 NFL season opened with a bang Thursday night with the Buffalo Bills blowing out the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams, 31-10, at SoFi Stadium.
Led by quarterback Josh Allen, who threw for three touchdowns and ran for another one, the Bills showed why they are the odds-on favorite to win this year's Super Bowl. Buffalo also covered the 2.5-point spread and came in under the 51.5 point total.
And while that game, to many, might have been more of a main course rather than a Week 1 appetizer, a full plate of Sunday games are on tap for us to gorge ourselves on.
Topping it all off Sunday night is a must-see game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys.
Tom Brady is back for his 23rd season and leads the Bucs into Dallas as the odds-on favorite to win the NFC.
Dak Prescott and the Cowboys are in the mix for the NFC East along with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to multiple sportsbooks. But can they deliver after a disappointing exit from the playoffs last season in the wild card game to the San Francisco 49ers.
And let’s not forget about Monday night’s game as new Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson returns to face his former team the Seattle Seahawks to cap the opening week.
Football is back, and FrontPageBets is here for all of it, picking the rest of the Week 1 games.
