NFL Week 4 picks and predictions

There are now three teams that are undefeated against the spread so far this NFL season.

And I'm confident in saying that if over the summer you told me to pick which three teams it would be, I'd have whiffed. Badly. And so would you.

Seriously, who had the Houston Texans, Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons?

Exactly.

There were four heading into Week 4, but the Miami Dolphins' loss on Thursday night to the Cincinnati Bengals ended not only the Fins perfect record against the spread, but also overall.

As we head into the fourth Sunday of the season, we're hoping the streak doesn't snap for the Texans, Lions and Falcons, as I've picked all three to cover.

There are also three teams who haven't had any success against the spread. They're 0-fer through three weeks: the Las Vegas Raiders, New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots.

I've got the Raiders getting off the mat against the Denver Broncos, but picking the other two to remain winless ATS.

Heading into last week, it was good to be the home underdog. This week, I like the home teams, picking nine home victors, including the underdog Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win straight up. Of the nine home teams I'm riding with, they have a combined 8-5 record ATS.
