Mountain Lake on Saturday night.
Smith Mountain Lake Volunteer Fire Rescue
Three people were injured Saturday night when their boat ran onto the shore at Smith Mountain Lake.
Two fireboats from Smith Mountain Lake Marine Volunteer Fire Rescue responded to the area of R21 at 11:37 p.m. and found a single center console boat out of the water.
The three occupants of the stuck boat were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the rescue agency said.
Scruggs Volunteer Fire Rescue, Red Valley EMS, Franklin County Fire & EMS, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources assisted in the response.
