RICHMOND — On the first day of Pride Month, advocates for Virginia’s LGBTQ+ community launched a statewide campaign urging voters to approve a constitutional amendment this fall that would enshrine the right to same-sex marriage in the state constitution.
"That is why I'm hopeful we will win on Election Day in November. Because across Virginia, people understand that treating families fairly is a Virginia value," said Narissa Rahaman, executive director of Equality Virginia.
