Benjamin James, one of two people arrested and charged with trespassing after Roanoke County School Board Chairman Brent Hudson asked police to escort the public out of the meeting room, captured his arrest on video Thursday evening.
The chaos that enveloped the Roanoke County School Board on Thursday began rolling slowly in February, when a female student at Glenvar High told the board she feared sharing the girls’ bathrooms with a transgender student who identifies as female.
Thursday’s Roanoke County School Board meeting was packed, and overflowing, until Chairman Brent Hudson ordered the room cleared because of repeated foul-language outbursts by people of the crowd.
