“This year, we’re going to face some pretty significant financial challenges, so we have to make wise decisions,” said House Appropriations Chairman Luke Torian, D-Prince William.
Former Sen. John Watkins, R-Powhatan, said he expects a special session on the state budget.
Senate Minority Leader Ryan McDougle, R-Hanover, played a key role in getting the parties to jump-start budget talks.
